Whew~! Convention was a BLAST!

I am exhausted and home! I loved Celebrate 08! but it feels really fabulous to be home on the couch typing a post. Really good. Almost as good as sorting through my swaps from Convention. I have so many great ideas that my head is swimming!

From minute one, the atmosphere was fun and exciting. I got there later on check-in day than I had hoped, but got my convention bag with all the great free goodies: stamps, a pen, pins, a workbook, NEW CATALOG, and more. I then decided to join the Memento Mall line, which was easy to do, since it wrapped around the entire first floor hallway! I waited for over 2 1/2 hours! But it was well-worth it. I bought exclusive convention stuff, a workshop tote, pens, and clothes. These are amazing items, high quality and matching our new paper! Anyone who knows me that standing in line isn't my thing, and are probably wondering how I survived! BY SWAPPING of course! I carried my big tote and swapped for over half the ones I had brought. It was so fun!

Convention started for real the next day with an opening session, which was simply amazing, energizing, and inspiring. Shelli (Co-founder and CEO), made several announcements:

1. She's starting a blog! You can be inspired by her as well at http://www.soshelli.com/. Check it out!

2. Our next mini catalog (available in September) will have a Signature Shelli line of products. She has a vintage and classy style, so these products will be fun to see and use!

3. Stampin' Up! has partnered with Country Living for a 21 page spread in the Holiday issue and a stamp set promotion! I can't wait to see what this package will be! Two years ago, the Autumn Blessings set was beautiful!

The buzz was everywhere...even lunch. At our tables, we got cupcakes celebrating Stampin' Up! Yep, they were yummy!

That night, we had an awards night. This was particularly inspiring for me as I build my business. Yes, I can really help support my family from this "hobby."

Friday brought another amazing general session. A Stampin' Up! band got the party started, (even I danced). Shelli made the most amazing announcement of all. The crowd went wild!

DRUM ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Stampin' Up! has partnered with Sizzix, to offer the Big Shot for Stampin' Up! which is a cool die cut machine. She showed us amazing examples and projects. Stampin' Up! will offer 7 exclusive dies and 29 Sizzix dies in the fall. I got to preorder mine right away with a Convention deal! (Just another reason to love being a demonstrator). Hopefully it arrives for my Open House on August 15th!

The afternoon began our classes and then we went out to eat as a group. There were 15 of us in the Stampin' Celebrities group. We ate at the Blue Iguana, even Bubba joined us. (More on this event after I scrapbook it).

Saturday finished off our classes and make n' takes with our new stamps! My gosh that was fun!

The closing session had a game show, great presentations, and one final amazing announcement by Shelli. To celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 20th Anniversary, UPS gave us another FREE stamp set! How cool! The crowd really went wild on this one!

Happy Stampin' I am off to sleep!
