Spring Beauty

Growing up, each spring I would watch for the wildflowers in bloom. My grandparents influenced this. Each spring Grandma and I would talk about which plants were blooming and I'd run to keep up with my grandpa in the woods when we went out to identify trilliums, spring beauties, may flowers, and more. My grandma was born April 13 and in this first year after her passing, I've been thinking about her lately. She was a spring beauty-a quiet soul who awoke with spring's wonders. This card reminds me of her. Spring Beauties were her favorite flower next to daffodils. I used the yellow of daffodils and the simplicity of spring beauties.

I gained inspiration from this elegant and beautiful card I received from my upline Connie. Getting one of these is always a treat. Plus, it means I was in her group's top ten for sales in February!
