Under the Stars-Scrapbook Style

I do scrapbook. Really. I just haven't for a while. I've been working on cards and all the other cool stuff and put scrapbooking off til summer. So get ready. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll get a few pages done a week.

About once a month in Green Bay in the basement of my sister's church --St. Mary of the Angels, a group meets to scrap, eat treats, and chat. I call this my Green Bay Scrapbooking Group and we have a great time. I provide dinner, my sister the room space, and we all provide the fun. We also do a make-n-take each time- a 12 x12 scrapbook page and I usually give club members some sort of treat. (They commit to the $10 fee and a $25 order each meeting).

I was under orders to do a camping theme, so took out my favorite kid set--Under the Stars. No worries, it is not a set on the last chance list. I couldn't resist this bear or using my In Colors (which are leaving, sadly, July 1).

Stamps: Under the Stars, Big Deal Alphabet Stamp Set, Skeeter Wheel
Paper: Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Slumber Party Speciality paper, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Double Stitched Ribbon, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Old Olive Ink Cartridge, Handle

This page was really fun. My title is a rebus: S'more Great Fun! The S'more is the s'more stamp, the great is from the stamp set, and fun was stamped using the Big Deal Alphabet stamp set. Some of the scrappers have more picnic pages than actual camping, so I wanted to add the picnic blanket. This set my scene. I used an 8 1/2 by 11 Baja Breeze piece for the main layer for photos. This way, each participant could add pictures as they wanted-small to large. The other cool part is the belt loop. I used a Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware frame, wrapped the ribbon around one edge, and secured it with a brad. Easy, but fun.

The girls played around with my layout. They are totally creative, and each worked to make the page fit their needs. Here are their ideas:

Cool, huh? I'm lucky to have such a great group!
