I'm a Big Shot--Journal Style

My sewing adventure continues with this post as I dug out some great fabrics from my fabric stash in the bottom of my closet. At one time, I had sewing projects in mind with them, but then I got into stamping and stored it all away. Since the Big Shot can cut fabric, I can drag out my old skills and make some great journal covers:

One of my favorite combinations of fabrics in my stash was this cute bee print with a daisy coordinating print. I just "happened" to have some more green fabric that worked well with the bee and another yellowish print. I wish they called all fabric in Stampin' Up! colors- Yo Yo Yellow, Garden Green is much easier than that dark green with leaves or that green with dots. If only....

I also had this pansy fabric that at one time I planned to fussy cut and sew in a collage. Ha! No fussy cutting for me, just Big Shotting! I matched it up with other scraps and made a butterfly journal:

I added scallops from the Scallops Bigz die on the yellow and green journals by using Heat-n-Bond fusible web. I was even able to cut this cute eyelet fabric I had. The scallops are perfect! On the butterfly journal, I used the Butterflies Die to cut out the beautiful accents. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. The ribbon tie is the Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon from the Occasions Mini Catalog, which is luxurious!

I hope my Stampin' Addicts Sisters in Yapha's Fabric Swap enjoy them!

I found a pattern on All People Quilt.com.
