Holiday Mini Catalog Blog Hop-- Day of Gratitude

Welcome to Lily's Ink Pad! Whether you are starting the Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop here or coming from Allison's blog Sweet Impressions featuring the Paisley Wheel (isn't she an amazing artist), you are in for a real treat.

My stamp set was Day of Gratitude. When I saw this set in the Holiday Mini Catalog, I knew 1) I had to own it and 2) beautiful creations come out of this set! Let's start with a set of cards:

Stamps: Day of Gratitude
Paper: Old Olive, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper
Ink: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard, Early Espresso
Accessories: Vintage Brads, Early Espresso 1/4" Ribbon, Decorative Label Punch, Regals Brads, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, 1 3/4 Circle punch, 1/2 Circle Punch

Now, for home decor:

The Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper inspired me to make a candle band and then I wanted something cool for an embellishment. I used my Scallop Circles #2 die to cut out 12 scallops, cut them in half, folded them, and attached them into a rosette. The middle needed some stamping, so I added the stamped image! So fun and so perfect for fall!

The main saying in this set "Gratitude can transform common days into Thanksgivings" made me think of something I've been meaning to try, but hadn't gotten around to creating yet--a Gratitude journal:

Here is one example of the inside, where I stamped on each page to remind me to remain grateful! I do plan on using this and it's already near my reading chair!

Well, I hope you saw projects that inspired you! Be sure to visit Stampin' Addicts for more ideas or if you get lost. The next stop is at  Debra's blog Heartfelt Inkspiration with her projects featuring French Foliage. Be sure to check out all the blogs!

  15. Love the scope and variety you achieved with this very cool stamp set Sara. Great idea for the Gratitude Journal - might make a cool Family Thanksgiving tradition. Leave out for people to fill in and then read the entries on Thanksgiving.

note: had to laugh at the word verification I got - grindsme - not exactly a gratitude phrase!
