Sew-Suite --Sew Perfect

My mom is a seamstress. She sewed most of my clothes growing up as well anything else that could be made with fabric. I have a love of fabric from her. When I first laid my eyes on the Occasions Mini Catalog, I loved all of the Sew Suite line. Here was the first card I made for the Stampin' Celebrations Card Club:

Stamps: Sew Suite, In Stitches Wheel, On Your Birthday
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Whisper White, Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Button, Button Embosslit, 3 1/2 and 3" Circle Bigz Orginalz Dies, Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Jumbo Handle, Versamark Ink Cartridge

I used the new Big Shot Dies that cut large circles for my focal point. We learned that stamping the big images first, helps get the little images to fit.

Happy Stamping!

  1. Great card! I love that the focal point is a circle. The embossed buttons are the perfect touch!

  2. Very cute! Aww, I would love my mom to be a seamstress. I would have altered all my bridesmaid and prom dresses! But, alas, she is "only" a quilter.

  3. Very pretty, Sara! My Mom was a seamstress, too. I see these items and can't help but think of all the hours she spent with the sewing machine. Great card!
