Valentine-palooza Day 6: Love that Lasts

Welcome to Day 6 of

Lily Ink Pad's

Valentine-palooza!

I know, it's past Valentine's Day, but love lasts. For my entire life I have been surrounding by couples that prove that--my grandparents, my parents, my uncles and aunts, and many of my parent's friends. My grandma Leone said it best to me one day when I questioned why she didn't try to remarry after my grandfather passed. She said, "I love him." Not in past tense. Present. He was gone, but her love was not. Love lasts.  That was the inspiration for this card. I wanted one card that could be sent at any time of year.

Stamps: Dreams du Jour
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Love Letter Designer Series Paper
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Big Shot, 1 3/8 Square Punch, Small oval punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Aquapainter

I wanted a layout that focused on the Van Gogh Quote so designed this to create the focal point of the words. I added color to the flower by using an Aquapainter on the ink already present, which is sometimes called blurred vision watercolor.

Happy Stamping!
