Inspiring Wedding Invitations

When my friend Carmen was thinking about custom wedding invitations, I went on and on with what we could do-- embossing, layers, heat embossing, shades of purple, fun folds, stamped images, customized stamps, My Digital Studio. However, she knew what she wanted:

--the ones I had used a few years earlier! They were easy, I owned the materials, so all she needed was cardstock and an ink refill and away I went!

Stamps: Inspired by Nature
Paper: Basic Gray
Ink: Whisper White
Accessories: Pastels, Sponge Daubers

When making 150 of anything, a person can get bored, so I perfected my chalkboarding technique. I found ways to add layers of color and added variety to her invites by my choice of Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, and Brilliant Blue (old chalks). That way, the monotony didn't get to me!

Here is proof why you need to clean your stamps, though, as my Whisper White looked like this before I started--

Ewww~! I cleaned and reinked my pad before I started, in the middle, and at the end. All the cards, therefore had a great quality of stamped images to apply chalk to.

Happy Stamping!
