Techie Friday: Faux Silkscreen

Tonight, my friend and stamper Cami booked a private class. That is, the class is at her house, instead of mine. We are following my Terrific Techniques format with three cards and three matching technique cards. The first technique is a new one for me called Faux Silkscreen.

Stamps: Elements of Style
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Vellum, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Dimensionals, 1 3/8" square punch, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Basic Jewels Pearls, Itty Bitty Punch, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

Here is a close-up of the card:

I got this idea at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference in January from my FABULOUS roommate Lisa Pressley. Here's her original:

I guess I liked her Baja Breeze frame!

Happy Stamping!

  5. Very nice! I've made a card with vellum overlay before, but I didn't know the name of the technique.
