Get Those Winter Boots On!

I fell in love with the stamp set Bootiful Occasions, just for it's whimsy and fun. The Stampin' Spooktacular sale allowed me to get it at an extra percent off! Whoo Hoo! Here is our first card we made with it-

Stamps: Bootiful Occasions
Paper: Real Red, Red Glimmer Paper, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Stazon Jet Black Ink
Accessories: Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Baker's Twine, Dazzling Diamonds, Two-way glue, Big Shot, Delicate Designs Folders.

Fun and sassy. We used the two-way glue pen to apply Dazzling Diamonds to the fur. Easy application! The Glimmer paper added that extra pizazz!

Have a Boot-i-ful day!

I'm back.

Sorry to all my fans for the hiatus. I'm not sure exactly what happened. November started out a bit busy, then more stuff piled on, then more, and more like a snowball turning into an avalanche. The next thing I know it's November 27, twenty-four days after my last post! I am back, though, and will post like always on ODD days. Cuz, I'm odd.

Here's one for today:

A little belated, but still cute.

Stamps: Perfectly Preserved, Teeny Tiny Messages
Paper: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, So Saffron, and Early Espresso Markers
Accessories: Itty Bitty Label Punch, Neutral Brads, Paper Piercer and Mat

I went with a simple layout on this one as my stampers group makes 4 of each card--which means they needed to use markers to color 12 corn.We used Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, So Saffron, and Early Espresso on the corn. Start with the lightest colors and color smaller parts in darker colors.

The rest was pretty easy- layer the layers, add the sentiment, and you're done with a cute, mailable card!

Happy Stamping!

Glittery, Merry Christmas

Today's share is a CASED (copy and share everything) version of card by Mary Brown. I just loved her version so I knew my Crafty Ladies would also!

Stamps: Christmas Lodge
Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Shimmer White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Early Espresso, Whisper White
Accessories: Aquapainter, Organdy Ribbon

Anytime I can apply glitter without a mess, I'm a fan. For the glittery snow layer, I just tore the edges of the Glimmer Paper and snuck it between layers of teared Shimmer paper. To get the paper to tear, I started it with a paper snips as the Glimmer paper has a waxy back layer that's hard to tear.

I love the look of the Early Espresso on Crumb Cake. To add snow, I used my aquapainter as dry as possible to apply Whisper White Craft Ink. Cool effect and fun!
