Winter 2013 Holiday Catalog Recap

In case you were wondering, why do I always add more the day after the official blog hop? Well, we want your hopping experience to be visual and quick, so we save some details for later. Our limit is 4 pictures and a few paragraphs. That's why many us post follow-ups. So, here's today's recap and detail overload.

Again, the whole She-bang!

THE ORNAMENTS

This is the front--I layered up different die cuts with dimensionals along with layers of Glimmer Paper and tadah! Easy and elegant ornaments.

Here are the back of these. See the fun? I used Sticky Pages to make a diecut that the ribbon would adhere to. Then, I just had to adhere the back to the sticky strip. I hope that makes sense.

Now two more:

and finally, the front of these two:

Now, can you tell that in the top snowflake that I made a shaker-snowflake? I used the framelits one inside another to make a frame on a piece of cardstock lined with Sticky paper. I then was able to add the window sheet die cut the same size as the outline. The sticky paper worked like a charm. I then used dimensionals to make a 3D border around the flake. Finally, I added three stars punched with the Merry Minis Punch Pack and some Dazzling Diamonds and adhered the shaker portion to the rest of the snowflake.  Here's another picture. I was pretty bad at pictures this round, but I think you can see the Dazzling Diamonds:

Stamps: none
Paper: Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: none
Accessories: 1/8" Silver Ribbon, Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits Dies, Coastal Cabana Stretch Ruffle Ribbon, Rhinestones, Sticky Pages, Dazzling Diamonds, Merry Mini's Punch Pack

THE FLIP FLOP CARD:

I used my Simply Scored to score my background 4 1/4 by 11 cardstock at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4. Then, I placed my cardstock into my Big Shot with the framelit lined up on the short fold. I then placed my top acrylic plate so that it's edge was even with the score line. That way, when I use my Big Shot, it only cuts half the image.

I then layered up my details and my card was done!

Stamps: Festive Flurry, Many Merry Messages
Paper: Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate
Ink: Silver Metallic Encore Pad, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: 1/8" Silver Ribbon, Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits Dies,Coastal Cabana Stretch Ruffle Ribbon, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder

Whew! I have to go grade papers and make some awards before bed tonight, so I gotta go. Come back on Wednesday for the other set of cards!

Happy Creativity!
Sara
