Watercolor Friendship

This winter in Wisconsin has seemed colder and snowier than recent years. While I love the snow and cold (I know, I'm weird), I need some bright things to cheer me up. The new Watercolor Wonder Paper does just that. I used three pages on this card:

I just love it. This saying is what I believe real friendship does and sometimes a card is just the right way to tell someone.

Stamps: Petite Petals, Feel Goods
Paper: Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Big Shot, Deco Labels Framelits, Petite Petal Punch, Stampin' Trimmer, Pearls

This card is pretty self-explanatory- I color blocked, kind of. Maybe it should be called paper blocked. The saying was stamped and cut out as well as the flower. Layer it up and the card is complete!

Happy Stamping!

Love him to the Moon

It's been a crazy week around Shawano, my hometown. My husband had a stroke on Monday and life changed a little. Not much, but a little. He's doing great--he will make a full recovery. His speech is less The Godfather-like and more like he's drunk in one week. His right side is still weak, but his handwriting is again legible. His humor never left him, so that's good. My mom was awesome to come stay so I could go to work for a couple of days. It's all good. Life with Bubba is never boring.

For today, I have a card that sums up our relationship:

I do love him to the moon and back, but the zig zags and swirls show the twists and turns we've gone through in the past 8 years! I just made that up, but it fits.

This card was a better version to make in bulk than my first card I featured in early January. My Stampin' Celebration group made four of this card, as well as 8 others. I just love this image.

Stamps: Love You to the Moon
Paper: Pool Party, Fresh Prints Paper Stack, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Gray, Real Red Marker
Accessories: Big Shot, Picture This Framelits, Rhinestones

Happy Stamping!
