MDS for Work: Testing Posters

I am catching up this weekend with some big deadlines coming up. Even though I feel like I haven't been procrastinating, somehow, I have sure have a lot to do! So.... I decided to combine a bit of creativity with a task I wanted to do for school.

I used MDS to create this signs for next week's Smarter Balanced Field Test with my 6th graders.

I plan to plaster the walls with these!

If you have a cuter, or more "cool" thought on what to say on a poster, please comment and let me know!

I love MDS. I just played for an hour and I have some pretty cool posters!

Happy Stamping!

Springy Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Fun Fold Card

I love, love, love, love this idea and had to make one of my own:
 The inside:

Stamps: Petal Parade, Label Love
Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, Pool Party
Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe
Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack, Gold Sequin Trim, Artisan Label Punch, Stampin' Trimmer

I followed the video tutorial by Stamper TerI! on YouTube. Basically, you score your card a little differently, then punch up and over the punch width limiters, and then trim the extra. Easy and cute. My favorite combination.

I just love these colors in the Sale-a-bration papers and accessories. I used four different papers from that pack. Can you pick them out?

Happy Stamping!

Rainbows and Pots of Gold

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Stamps: Banner Blast
Paper: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack, Pear Pizzazz
Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry,
Accessories: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle Punch, Banner Blast Punch, Gold Baker's Twine

Every March, my Stampin' Celebrations Group makes a St. Patty's card. This year, I wanted it to be more than a shamrock and found this little punch art idea by Sandy Dixon at Stamping Sanity. The Banner Blast Stamp Set and coordinating punch was a perfect way to add a rainbow of fun to this card. Plus, the gold foil sheets---My gosh! How perfect for this!

I'm off to get my shamrock shake!

Sweet Sorbet Tissue Paper

I love Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration paper this year called Sweet Sorbet. What makes it even cooler, is how the colors in the paper work for spring and brighten my stamp room.

Thursday, I posted this project:

Pretty cute? huh?

Stamps: Petal Parade, Feel Goods
Paper: Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party
Accessories: Gold Sequin Trim,  Decorative Labels Framelits, Simply Scored Board

I followed a tutorial by Angie Juda on You Tube and her blog Chic n' Scratch.

I made one that looked that this and kept it for myself:

I had to, as my tissues didn't open through the top, so I had to adjust by adding a half-circle tissue release area on the left side. I just punched with my circle punch partially in the layer and Voila!--a way to access the tissues.

Remember, Sale-a-bration products can only be earned for every $50 you spend until March 31!

Pretty cute, huh?

Happy Stamping!

Pillow Gifts...February 2014 Retreat

WHoo Hoo! I took a month off of blogging to get my act together everywhere. Let's see if it worked! I'm back and I'll do my best to stay focused on BALANCE. I may not have been blogging, but I have been stamping!

First up--the pillow gifts I created for the February 20-23 Lily Ink Pad Retreat at Over the River and Through the Hills Retreat in Lakewood. We had a great time and my attendees deserve the best! I created my usual gift bag full of goodies and got them done just in time, but forgot to get pictures! I did, however get pictures this week of some of what was in the bag!

Stamps: Petal Parade, Feel Goods, Yippee Skippee
Paper: Gold Fancy Foil Vellum Sheets,  Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party
Accessories: Gold Sequin Trim, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack,  Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Decorative Labels Framelits, Chalk Talk Framelits, Cello Bags, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Simply Scored Board

I have (and still do) these kraft bags that I love to embellish. The gold vellum paper worked perfectly on it. I just used Washi Tape to adhere it, which added a bit of flair. They fell off over time, so I'd use an adhesive under it and then cover that with the Washi tape in the future.

The notepad was just a mini composition book (or on some, I used a spiral notebook), that I made a cover for and decorated it up with the paper, a fun saying, and layers of fun! The pen has gold and kraft that I luckily found at the dollar spot.

I don't want to overdo my comeback, so check out my Saturday post for how I created the tissue holder.

Happy Stamping!
