Going Places Card Details

In order to not have the blog hop be really, really, long, I am giving you all the details today! Enjoy.

First Up:

I did stamp the Sentiment twice and use my papersnips to cut out the banner and adhered it with a Dimensional (of course).  I used a Lost Lagoon Marker to color the banner and then added a Wink of Stella layer using the Clear brush. I couldn't get it to be flashy in my photo, but you can kind of tell. I also used a little Wink of Stella brush line to connect the hearts. I haven't been buying ribbon much, although I had some Basic Black I could have used. Instead, I love using the Going Places Designer Series Paper patterns as ribbon. I carefully cut the black arrow pattern so that just one layer of arrows appeared.

Second Up:

The inside picture has poor exposure, but it does show how I used the same DSP as the outside on the inside to make my star punch outs stand out. Other than that, it's just layers. Easy and cute. Love it.

Third Up:

I love this saying, because I do have the "World's Best Dad." and he will love the over the top nature of my card.

I couldn't take a picture that showed how much I love this card. When it lies flat, the whole world looks as one. Then, as it opens, the world pops out. I love it. The top and bottom strips of DSP were a new way of accenting a card for me. I don't usually add borders, but I like it here.

Oh! I almost forgot. That banner was custom made. The Banner Framelit in the Circle Card Framelits wasn't long enough, so I used my acrylic plate halfway and only cut part of the banner at a time:

I just made sure that the top acrylic plate went only as far as I wanted to cut.
