I am in love with Project Life and have had THE MOST FUN playing over my winter break with these cards. I hope you enjoy my projects as much as I enjoyed making them.

First up, is a traditional use of Project Life cards in a kind of scrapbook, but really, I call it a journal as I use it daily to document 3 things that were good about the day and how it made me feel as a way of reflecting and slowing down each evening. As a papercrafter, I couldn't just use a blank notebook, so I made my own journal using my Project Life Inserts. I had to create my own cover out of chipboard, because I forgot to order a Project Life 6 x8 album.

The Memories in the Making Project Life Speciality Cards coordinate with the Memories in the Making Project Life Kit and Accessories Kit featured in the new Occasions Catalog. I decided to use both to create a base for my daily journal and fill it with things that make me happy.

I used overlays on the top left cover where I added the black frame over the Project Life card. In the middle spread, I used an overlay of stars on the left page, but on the right page, I used a sponge to color an emboss resist card with Watermelon Wonder to add some color to the page.  In the Bottom spread, I used 4x6 overlays over the photo of me, my niece, and nephew and the heart overlay for my hubby. Come back next week for more on the other details.  For now, we have to move on to an idea I'm proud of:
I've been coloring for fun and to get better at it for cardmaking, but I never new what to do with them when I was finished. Now that I have my daily journal, I realized I could cut the pictures to 6x8 and then slide them into the full page protectors. It looked too plain when I did so. I combined two card kits to add overlays. I used the scallops on the top and the dots on the bottom. In the center, the cool gold circles fit perfectly. I added a few sequins with my fine tip glue pen and a label using a strip of an embosses resist card colored with my Wink of Stella Brush, and Voila! I had a pretty cool page!

Finally, I made two cards using two different techniques.

I stamped Just for You from the Botanicals for You Sale-a-bration set using Basic Black. I then, used a sponge to add Mint Macaron and Smokey Slate to make the flowers on the Emboss Resist card pop. A ribbon and flowers for an accent, and I have a cute card.

My final card shows how crazy my brain can think when holding products in my hands. The one overlay just reminded me of a sheer curtain so I created this:

I simply cut a 2 x 3 small overlay card in half and adhered it to my curtain rod. My favorite view out a window is trees!

I hope you enjoyed your quick stay here at Lily's Ink Pad for the 2016 Stampin' Addicts Sale-a-bration Blog Hop. You can now click forward to go to Yapha's Perfect Paring Projects or backward to Krystal's What I Love beauties. Happy Hopping!

Happy Creativity!
