Welcome to the Christmas Pines stop of the Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop! You may have come from Rhonda's Blog featuring Star of Light or if backward hopping, you may have come from Twila's Cookie Cutter Christmas post!
My stamp set is called Christmas Pines. Growing up, Christmas Trees and ornaments were an instrumental part of our Christmas Celebrations. Being a nature girl in Northern Wisconsin, I love the pines and pine cones!
I started by creating this painter's tray:
I simply couldn't decide where to start, so I started with a sampler. I am in love with every section! The details I love the most are:
TOP LEFT: (the top of the ornament is from the Jars Framelits and the swirly hanger is from Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.
TOP MIDDLE: the idea came from my sister, "Why don't you make mistletoe?"
TOP RIGHT: cutting that frame design isn't my favorite task, so I wanted to embellish the frame so it fit into a rectangle. I also used the Real Red Glitter Embossing Powder on the word Sparkle!
BOTTOM RIGHT: A wreath from the pines was fun, but the holly and the little copper twigs are my favorite. The "berries" are Real Red candy dots.
BOTTOM MIDDLE: The pine boughs are stamped, but I used layered pinecones, including the top layer in copper.
BOTTOM RIGHT: My favorite. It just is.
Next, I made a trio of cards using the NOEL sentiment with the Real Red Glitter Embossing Powder.
This was very playful and fun to try out a variety of ideas at once!
The bottom card is a trifold. Here are the other two views:
Those are my projects! I hope I convinced you to add the Christmas Pines Photopolymer Stamp Set and Pretty Pines Thinlets to your wishlist.
