Coloring Cards

I've always loved Mary Engelbreit's art work for it's vibrancy in color. When I first saw these watering cans as a part of the Just Add Color Designer Series paper. I wanted to try my hand at coloring like her. I first used my Watercolor Pencils:

Next, I tried my markers:

I had limited supplies when I created these, but I think that makes me more creative. To get the washi tape to show up on the Basic Black Cardstock, without having the transparency of the tape soften the colors, I added two layers. Can  you even tell there's two? I don't think you can and it makes the card look better. That's a much better solution to trimming strips of white cardstock to fit my washi tape!

I like these and had fun with Clare coloring and "crafting." She also made a card using the Just Add Color paper:

Happy Stamping!
