BlacK Ice Technique with Country Roads

No, I'm not talking about Wisconsin's Winter Roads. It's the middle of summer, folks. Instead, I'm talking about a very cool technique that looks hard, but really isn't.

Black Ice is the technique used on the main panel of this card. Basically, you take a Stazon pad and tarnish the Foil Paper, stamp your images, and emboss the entire piece in clear embossing powder. Sounds easy, right? Well, if you need visual, I also edited my facebook live version of this card.

The Cajun Craze piece of Designer Series Paper is from the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. The Happy Birthday was stamped on a small piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and punched with the Classic Label Punch.

My Stazon pad and the stamps didn't always stamp full-darkness, but I really liked the added texture of the blotchy-ness. It make it more rustic.

Happy Stamping!

Sara
