I participated in a demonstrator-only challenge and want to share it with you, as I plan to use this idea in August at workshops and a class. It's also a sneak peek of the cool new stuff in the upcoming Fall-Winter Idea Book and Catalog.
Here it goes!
Keep in mind, I hate pink. Hate it. However, Pink Pirouette is one of the new 08 In Colors and it's all over my new Bella Rose paper. So, I took the challenge to go outside of my comfort zone (way outside) to make my sister proud and use Pink Pirouette as a color choice. You know what, I kind of like it. Pink, that is. But not enough to be come a pink person often.
By the way, this entire project took me less than an hour to create. Really. I used box template, scored my paper, created the box, created a band (out of Kiwi Kiss, green is really more my color), and then stamped the images. I then wanted some quick 3x3 cards to put inside. These cards are perfect for adding to a wedding gift and I have wedding coming up to add some cards, too. They would also work for birthdays.
The recipe:
Stamps: Always
Paper: Bella Rose Designer Paper, Kiwi Kiss, and Pink Pirouette
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Dimensionals, the New Scallop Border Punch (see box flap), paper cutter with scoring blade, 1 1/4 circle punch, 1/2 inch circle punch, and 3x3 whisper white envelopes.
Book a party or come to an event in August to see this in person. Check out my calendar on the side bar of my blog.
