Always Scrappin'!

Today is the day of the Month when I announce the Stamp Set of the Month. This month I decided to pick one that I loved out of the Spring Summer 2008 Idea Book and Catalog and that would carry through into the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book and Catalog (which I got in my grubby hands this week....awesome!!!!)

The Stamp Set of the Month is....Always. This is an amazing set. It is so versatile!
Check it out! This photo has two of the projects you'll make at the Stamp Set of the Month Club. The meeting date is Saturday, August 30th from 10-12 or 2-4. The cost is $30 and due by August 15th, so I can order your set. Your rubber will be mounted and ready to go! I will also have all the cardstock, ink, and accessories ready to go. Email me to sign up for this club. If you choose the By Mail option, postage will cost $8.00.

We will also be making this set of cute cards:

In addition, I will have 2 more projects that are a surprise!

Oh my golly! I almost forgot! Look back to the first picture. See that scrapbook page? That's one of my Convention Swaps! I signed up for a 12 x 12 page organized swap, which means I have designated group to hand these out to. I am very excited about it as I love getting new scrapbooking ideas. Well, when I started this project, I needed at least 2 layers and one embellishment, but I didn't know what was retiring! I decided instead to figure out ways to make stamping a focal point of my scrapbooking. First, I created my own background paper to use an accent with the berry/twig stamp. I chose a contrasting color palette with bashful blue verses Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss (which we call color duos). The funny thing was, I needed more cardstock and ordered Always Artichoke instead of Mellow Moss, not once but twice. So, when I made the 11 pages for the swap, some of the green layers are reversed. Cool enough it still works.

Ahhh.. Enjoy August!
