Party Hearty!

Are you tired of my swaps yet?

The Thursday before I left, I found out there was an extra spot in my 12x12 swap, so decided to whip up another page. I must say, I love what I came up with!

Without further ado:

This page started with the idea I wanted to use my new Bella Rose paper, but...not the flowery stuff. I wanted to show how much can be done withe one pack of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. Can you believe this page is from the same pack as the flowery stuff I posted previously? This is the cool part of 2 sided paper. If one side is too flowery, there's always something more on the back. I first chose the red and pink "tablecloth" paper. I usually add a stripe, so this time, I decided to add a square. I went to my cutter and WHOOSH...a 4x4 square.

Then what? Lots of thinking.....Thinking...Thinking..... I remembered and image from a card that used circles to create a cool look. I decided to try it on my own. I created the bottom border. How fun. (and funny that I used my circle punches again). The Party Hearty stamp set (to be in the next catalog) that I earned from the Regionals event I attended in April seemed perfect. I had been wanting to use it and this was the perfect opportunity. I then had a color scheme once I made the border piece, so added the Pacific Point 5x7 area and then thought, "What do I do with the lower left 4 x 3 rectangle? This hat stamp was perfect. I added a Bashful Blue brad for a little fun. The page didn't seem fully balanced, so I added the B is for Birthday part. (Which is the stamp I had planned to use from the start, but changed my mind and changed it back again).

Next, I made 11 more pages. Overall, it took about 3 hours. Not bad. All I need to do, is take a couple of pictures (one large and vertical) and one square and smaller and add them in! Done!

Stamps: Party Hearty
Ink: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Accessories: ½ inch Circle Punch, 1 ¼ Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, ¾ Circle Punch, Coluzzle, Dimensionals

I then spent some searching the Splitcoast gallery for the card I had seen! Inspired by a card by Julie Davison, aka Juls716 which you can see for yourself by clicking here.
