Margaritas and Mamma Mia! (and Stamping!)

Last weekend I had a workshop at my cousin Amy's house in Mankato, MN. She just moved there to be a professor at NMU. We're very close, my sister and Amy and her sister Tracy. We often go by sister-cuz! Anyway, I made Amy a super-special hostess gift.

I got this Margarita glass at Pier One!
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Barely Banana
Ink: Encore Silver, Pacific Point
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Bigz Die, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Square Scallop Punch, Pacific Point Striped Ribbon.
Here's a close up:

Of course, it had to have a card:

And... the soap needed to look prettier:

I made coasters using the Big Shot. Yes, the Big Shot really does cut fabric. How cool. I use fusible web to layer two fabric scallops and stamped the images using Craft Ink. It was my first attempt and I plan to make more!

  1. What a great idea! I'll have to remember this for our next margarita party! Great job.

  2. This looks like such a fun little gift. The scalloped coasters came out fabulous.

  3. love it! you had me at Margarita! :-)
Very cool idea for the coasters!

  4. Sara, this is a great gift! I love the coasters, I'm going to have to try it...I'm printing out my pictures for the Decor elemnets swap as I'm typing this. Is there anything you are collecting right now for the Ronald McDonald house at this time? that I could send along with them? Thanks and have a great week.

  5. Twila, if you want to send anything at all, they would love it. We made some boxes for candy this weekend that I am sending to them next weekend. This month, we are sticking with family DVD's, so I am collecting money for those yet. We have 8 already, so hopefully, I can pick up some more!

  6. Okay, so I think the coasters are the best thing too. They turned out really nice......I want a
    Big Shot :-(

  7. Sara Well Done Im suitably impressed what a lucky hostess. A fantastic idea!!!
