I've been playing!

Really, I have been stamping. I just haven't been photographing and blogging. The main reason is...well, it was one of those weeks. You know, the kind where if one more thing went crazy, you'd go crazy? But, it's Friday night. I have some stuff to share. Great Stuff! (I started this post on Friday, but had computer issues, and now have it resolved).

I've been busy putting together a swap idea for a local swap of demonstrators. It was one of those projects that looks supercool, seems manageable, and once in my head, it wouldn't leave. No other idea could live up to it, so off I went...

Isn't it cool? I got the idea from this post by Danni: Top Note Box. She got her idea from another demonstrator. It wasn't the best choice for a swap in terms of time and supplies, but it sure is cool. Oh wait, I said that already. Well, it is.
Stamps: Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel, Dreams Du Jour

Paper: Kraft, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip

Ink: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Scallop Die, Paper Cutter with Scoring Blades, Square scallop punch, circle scallop punch, large oval punch, large circle punch, vintage brads, piercing tool, sticky strip
If you want to make one of these, complete with a matching card set, sign up for my Card Class March 29, from 3-5.

I also have some other samples from the swap, I want to share. The Big Shot is an amazing can emboss, cut paper and 50 other items...the possibilities are endless. I am fortunate to be able to share ideas with a talented group of demonstrators!

Staci made the Tulipe! Card. How cool. She cut the Tulipe! and then paper pieced the layers. Very pretty and easy! The Easter box is using one of the new Easter sets that are available for purchase early this month from the Occasions mini catalog! The top note is hiding a box! How fabulous. I will be sure to featuring this one in an upcoming event!

This set features our designer series papers-Bella Rose and Raspberry Tart. The left card uses the Flower: Daisies #2 Bigz die. Stampin Up!'s Little Leaves Sizzlet die. Although it's hard to tell in the photo, Roxanne also used a Texturz embossing pad called Stampin Up! Backgrounds #1. The other card is a tri-fold. Behind that front is two more scallop circles folded just right. The stamp set is a favorite: Party Hearty, but in a refined way. Cindy is very talented.

I love the color choices in this set. Earthy colors are my "thing." The top left uses one of my favorite new sets I don't own yet: Thoughts and Prayers. I love the way the pierced small scallop makes the larger scallop pop. Neat layout, Nikki! Wild About You is a favorite set of mine. Liz used the Textured Plates Kit #4 to create a safari background. Again, it's hard to tell in person, but in real life, it's amazing!

Finally, a fun one! This crocodile/alligator's tongue pulls out to reveal an invitation! How cool for a animal themed kid party! Cheryl sponged Whisper White to create the dimension as well as used her crimper! The yellow purse has a little bag between the Yo-You yellow Top Note die cuts. Carolee designed this item with summer in mind and I love it.
