An old Favorite-spiced up!

One of my favorite sets is Heartfelt Thanks. I remember wanting it as soon as I saw it, but I had to wait for a bit to afford it. Once I got it used it like crazy. Then, I got tired of blues, and pastels I had used with it. Newer stuff caught my attention, and it sat lonely on the shelf. When Heartfelt Thanks hit the Last Chance list, I knew I had to say goodbye to it in a fantastic way.

Stamps: Heartfelt Thanks, Defining Your Life
Paper: Pumpkin Pie Textured Paper, Pixie Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Pixie Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Markers in Pixie Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Mellow Moss, and Always Artichoke; Circle Scissors Plus, Glass Mat, Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Key Tab Punch, Largest Oval Punch

I've had these little magnet tins for a while. As part of my stash, I just haven't figured out what I could do with them. Then, I saw a project on Renee VanStralen's blog that wowed me. I loved the color combo and had to use it. I changed it a bit to fit my project, but really, this made it work for me!

I used the my Circle Scissor to cut the 3" circle of Pumpkin Pie and a 2 1/2 Circle of Whisper White. I used markers to color on the stamps to make my images multi-colored. To fit the Tiger Lily without adding ink to my other flowers, I used a masking technique I'll call--Use your punches. I stamped the images first.

Next, I used a 3/4" Circle Punch out of scraps. I placed over the flower I was stamping near.

The final step was to add the final flower! Ta Dah!

I also worked in the Key Tab Punch, one of the two retiring punches this month. I use it a lot, so I will surely miss it!

Happy Stamping!
