Cute n' Cubby

This project has been on my to do list since I saw it posted last fall. Leaadership was the perfect time for me to bring it out, drag out the sewing machine, remember how to thread it, and work up these as gifts for my roommates!

I used the Springtime Vintager Designer Series Fabric first. I used my math skills to figure out how to get the most Large Scallop Squares I could. I then swapped the squares around to get a variety of fabric combinations. I used my Night of Navy grograin ribbon as I realized that was all I had! Better order more! To stretch my fancy fabric, I used two pieces of muslin for the base. No one looks there anyway, right?

I also made two using the Sew Suite fabric, but ran out of fabric until I order more!

My three roomies seemed to like them--at least I hope so. I love having mine on my stamping table!

If you want to make one of these, you can purchase the directions here at Card a la Carte. I did. I created all five of these during one Sunday afternoon--my kind of project!

Happy Stamping!(or sewing for stamping)

  1. These are so cute!! What a great way to show off the fabric! Love it!

  2. Well, isn't that a cute little thing? And folds down for transport! Can I be your roomie for the next event???

  3. Now these are wonderful! And handy too ;)

  4. Seriously great roomie gifts! Love them!

Thanks for commenting! I love feedback!
