Bargedello on a Card

Those of you that know me well, know that quilting is part of my heritage and I used to try to make them. Now, I love making them on my cards. Here is a great technique to make a home-style card:

Stamps: Grateful Greetings, Four Frames
Paper: Morning Mocha Speciality Paper, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake

Accessories: Paper Cutter, Decorative Label Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Vintage Trinkets, Paper Piercing Tool, Matte, Template

Basically, you cut strips of paper and adhere them to a background. Then you cut these strips into strips. You now have rows of squares, which you arrange in the pattern you want. Then, you trim that to your final size. It's a bit time consuming, but creates a great card!

By the way, I am in love with the Mocha Morning Speciality Designer Series paper. Wowzer. Beautiful gold areas as well as flocked and velvet areas. Scrumptious!

Happy Stamping!

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous, card!! Love it!

  2. Fantastic card! Love the Mocha paper too! Love your new background colors too! So pretty!

  3. This is really lovely! What beautiful paper to choose and a great way to showcase it!

  4. Reminds me of Victorian crazy quilts a little too! Having loved all things Victorian for many years (lived in old houses for most of my adult life) I can see this spread on a high backed bed!

  5. Really fun, and you mixed it up!

  6. Gorgeous card. And bravo for being willing to cut into that dsp - it's so pretty!
