Summer was the theme--butterflies, beach bags, and fun! I bought the beach bags long ago at my favorite dollar spot. Perfect space on the front for a little Big Shot Butterfly action. I simply cut butterflies out of felt and stitched them on with embroidary floss. I love how fast the Big Shot slices through things as thick as felt. Easy Peasy!
I also included a deck of cards (in Melon Mambo), princess crown full of candy, and that octopus box. Each person also got al a carte' stamp and whatever else I could think of at the last minute.
The Octopus box had a purpose, of course, and that was to hold citronella candles:
Here's a close-up of the cover:
Stamps: Summer SplashPaper: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Square Clear Bigz Die, Scallop Square Duos Bigz Die, Ruffled Ribbon, Simply Scored, Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, and Embossing Heat Tool
Want to make your own? Here's how I did it.
1. I started with a piece of paper that was 5 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches.
2. Score 1/2 inch from each side. (using my new tool called Simply Scored which you can buy starting September 1)
3. Turn your paper 90 degrees and score at 1/2 inch, 5 inches, 5 1/2 inches, and 10 inches.
4. Now, cut tabs on each of the corners and in the middle, like this:
5. Apply Sticky strip as shown and fold up into a box!
You can purchase a Simply Scored after September 1st. Book a workshop in September so you can get one at 50% off! Just email me at lilyinkpad@yahoo.com
Happy Stamping!
