A Concord Blossom

I love purple. I don't work with it much for some reason, but, really, Concord Crush is one of my favorite colors. It will be leaving us soon, as it is a 2010-2012 In Color, so get the most out of it while you can. We made this Mother's Day card at my April Stampin' Celebrations:

Stamps: Mixed Bunch
Paper: Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzaz, Whisper White
Ink: Concord Crush
Accessories: Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Big Shot, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Blossom Punch, Petals Blossom Builder, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch

The Lacey Edge was created by punching it out with the punch. My stampin' friend Mickey Roberts explains it well on her blog, A Paper Conversation.  I needed something to make the flower special and played around until I got the idea of layering the center.

Here's the inside:

Happy Stamping!

  1. Gorgeous card!! I love that lace edge!! It looks fabulous with your flower.

  2. Hmmm, another idea to CASE! I don't work much with purple either but this technique and color combo are wonderful! TFS

  3. Thanks for the recognition, Sara! I love your version.

  4. So pretty. Too sad this punch will soon be leaving us...

  5. So pretty Sara! Love Mickey's idea. I'll miss that puch too.
