Mom's Wedding Scrapbook

Remember a couple of years ago when my sister and I sponsored a 40th wedding anniversary party for our parents? We made favors, invites, thank-yous, and it was a blast. Well, this weekend at my retreat, I re-designed my mom's wedding album. She made it back in the day with the finest scrapbooking technology available- glue, contact paper, cardboard, and fiber brown "scrapbook paper." Now it has been Stampin Up ized!

The opening page of the whole book. I used the new Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper Flocked Window Sheet and the Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. I also used a Pretties Kit to embellish it. I may actually use it up!

Mom had three bridal showers, one by a friend and one with each family (Alden and Mattson). She had pictures from two of the three, but cards from them all. I scrapped this with a blue background.

This was the first page of the actual wedding section. Can you believe my mom can still wear that dress? We found it in her closet a few years ago and yes, she could wear it!
The left page has all of the ceremony pictures--one. Then family pics. The right side is the reception at my grandparents' farm.

This one is the cake--and the servers---and some presents, and part of a practical joke.
In this section, I added the church bulletin announcement and the start of the cards. Mom had them all saved, so we saved them.

The end! Now I just need to print the 40th wedding anniversary pics and scrap them!

Happy Scrapping!
