Updated Star Fold Card Tutorial

With the new Stampin' Up! Trimmer, I've realized some easier ways to make the Star Fold Card that I once had folks measuring tic marks and angles, and what not.  You can check the old tutorial out here.

First Up, here's this version:

and mid-opening:

and the inside;

Stamps: Festive Flurry
Paper: Winter Frost Speciality Designer Series Paper, Smokey Slate, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Stampin' Trimmer, scoring blades,

Now, Start with a 7 1/2 Square. if you place your cardstock just right on the cutter like this, you can make this into a perfect equilateral triangle. I put the top corner at 2 3/4" with the oppsoite corner on the track below. Cut. You'll get a new shape that you can cut one more time to get the triangle base.

 This time, put the paper in so it looks like this. The corner touching the ruler is at 1".  The opposite bottom corner is on the track. Cut. Now, you should have an equilateral triangle.

Now, score so it looks like this:
3 3/4" is the middle point and the 1 1/4" is the parallel from the inner score line. I also found that you could place one long edge of the triangle at 3 3/4" and then score to get the inner line. Move the long edge to 5" and score to the outer score line. Turn your triangle 60 degrees and try again. One more time and your triangle will be scored.

It's so much easier with the trimmer than with my old way. Try it and tell me how it works!
