Thankful for...

Plus, a Sunday morning when I can get my life back on track and balanced. A little cleaning, reorganizing, and lesson planning, and stamping this afternoon! Here's a card to celebrate fall and thankfulness.

Stamps: Truly Grateful
Paper: Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Early Espresso 1/8" Ribbon, 1" Square Punch

Check it out--a No BIG SHOT CARD! There are four cool things about this card:

1). The background doesn't fill the whole piece, but you can stamp it multiple times easily. Even of you overlap it a bit, the pattern covers it up.

2). I punched out the Tree slice and used my paper snips to rough the edges. Very easy and a cool detail.

3) Sweater Designer Series Paper Coordinates so well that I had no problems designing my colors.

4) I used a sketch from my Canadian friends' new sketch challenge! Check them out at

I'm Backkk!

Hopefully! I've been putting all my effort into my teaching, planning, and classroom. It's paying off for 7/8 of each day, but that 1/8 is killing me! So tonight, I decided to put away the work for a while and post one of the projects I have done somewhat lately.

 And open:
Stamps: Best of Halloween
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Witch's Brew Designer Series Paper
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Circle Thinlits Card Dies. Brights Candy Dots, Circles Framelits, Big Shot

Very fun and easy to use Stampin' Up!'s new Thinlit Card dies. Here's more info:

All the cool parts on this card are from the Circle Thinlit Card Die--the flag, the arrows, the flipydoodle part.

Happy Stamping!

Painted Background

Happy Fall! The colors started changing a bit around here early, but have slowed down for a heat wave. Hopefully, the crisp air of fall comes soon.

Stamps: Gently Falling, Bring on the Cake
Paper: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze
Accessories: Painter's Tape, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Regals Buttons, Linen Thread

My friend, Barbara, introduced this to me with her fabulous examples. The background effect is created by placing a piece of Painter's tape directly on the ink pad and then applying to the paper. Remove the tape, and you get that background! How cool is that!

I love, love, love this technique!

Happy September 2013!

Check it out! It's near the first of the month and I'm sharing a digital wallpaper with you!

What do you think? Am I obsessed with school or what?

I love MDS. I made this during one TV episode Sunday Night and felt as  if I changed the world. Well, not changed the world, but got something accomplished!

Happy Creativity!
