I love those birch trees as a background. When I saw the trees in the White Christmas stamp set, I knew that I wanted to make a card with the deer and birds. I am a nature girl after all!
Here are the tips I shared with my stampers:
1) Sponge first. (Can you see the tiny bit of Pool Party sponged in the background).
2) Stamp Trees with the star (I put them on the same block).
3) Stamp Birds on branches. Color them with Real Red to make them stand out. (If a branch line is through the bird, they disappear when you color).
4) Add the deer. Make sure the feet cross the horizon line. (They disappear when colored with Soft Suede).
5) Use the Soft Sky marker to add snow dimension along branches and on the horizon lines.
6) Add Smokey Slate Marker to the lines on the birch trees to make them more real).
7) Add the snowflakes gently.
8) Add the Fine Tip Glue very carefully. It can run in a puddle (at least when I do it).
9) Let Dry. Then layer the cards up.
I like the simple elegance of this card.
Happy Creativity!
