Yesterday, I unveiled the boxes with easel display cards I created for my Lily Ink Pad Retreat goers. Each box holds 10 4 1/4 x4 1/4" cards and the wooden easel. The easel cards can be changed out for the season, day, or on a whim.
Today, I am going to show the templates and explain a little better.
I used a piece of cardstock that was 6 1/2 by 11" and I used the leftovers to cut the additional side as the box needed to be 12 1/2" inches around. The fourth side needed it's own 1/4" flap allowance to fit the Tear Away Tape. I scored it using my Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer.
The triangle parts are where I cut out so the flaps fit better in the bottom. The flaps don't stick out if you trim this way.
The top needed a 1/8" extra wiggle room, thus the 5/8" measures. For those of you who stick to 1/4 inch measures, just go over a little bit so the top fits.
I chose contrasting colors and matched my colors to the Project Life card kits. I added cards and accessories for a decorative touch.
