Last night, I created this card for the As You See It Challenge and it fits my day today.
I love this sketch, but I had the buildings in my mind right away and couldn't shake it. So, I used the ink pads for color along with my Aquapainters to paint a skyscape. I decided to use the female superhero and put her on a pedestal--well, a power cloud.
The sky was created by watercolor-washing Pacific Point for texture.
I also decorated the inside:

The city skyline is a fabulous way to see the sketch and I like both the way you've coloured the buildings and the dynamic sky you've created. Like you, I'm teacher by day and stamper by night, so go girl power! Thanks for joining us at As You See It.
ReplyDeleteHow clever, Sara, using the city buildings for the dots in the sketch! As a former teacher, I love that you are empowering the girls in your classes! I just read somewhere that if there was any justice in the pay scale, teachers should get the highest pay of all, because there wouldn't be any other professions if it wasn't for teachers!! Thanks for doing all that you do, Sara! And thanks for playing along again with As You See It Challenges!
