A Gift of Humor

My sister wanted some sassy birthday cards as her friend gets to those magic numbers. (Not me, I'm still young). I knew I had to buy the Five for All Stamp Set when I spotted it in the catalog. Here's my first card with it.

My card uses the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper with the Daffodil Delight Stitched Ribbon for the bow. My old stand-by Lots of Labels Framelits Dies highlight the sentiment. I added a little Daffodil Delight for the marquee lights and a little Pumpkin Pie coloring on the arrow, which I popped up with the new mini dimensionals, which are so darn cute!

To aim the Happy Birthdays around the present, I used a framelit (the one I used to cut the paper).

I was trying to get in (just under the deadline) to the As You See It Challenge. It's a great card sketch and I want to play more with it, but just didn't find the time. You can join us or see the other cards at the As You See It Challenge Blog.

Happy Stamping! Sara

  1. Interesting thinking around the sketch! I like your 'happy birthday' repeated around the present. Super colours - that Daffodil Delight ribbon really pops. Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenge.

  2. I do love that sentiment, Sara! The Five For All set is great for humour! I like the way you've added some vertical variety to it with the arrow popped up. A charming little birthday card, all around, if you'll pardon the pun! Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges.

Thanks for commenting! I love feedback!
