I used the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack to make the "frames" for the pictures. I used as many textures as I could, make boards over lap, etc. The base is something I bought at a Stampin' Rummage from a friend. I used modge podge to adhere the paper to the frame as well as to adhere the pictures to base. (there are two layers). The clock came with. I also had wooden numbers I bought at a craft store to add to the face of the clock. but when I opened the package on Saturday, there were no 6's or 9's in the bag! With no time to get more, I gave it to him blank. He loved it that way, anyway. I used my Basic Black Marker to add the nails.
Stampin' Up! is on trend with the realistic wood, but in my family, wood has been essential to our upbringing-logging, wood fired furnaces, campfires, and general appreciation of all things wood. The perfect gift for my dad.
I hope you, too, are able to craft your way to more great memories!
Happy Stamping!
Sara
