Pocket Birthday

Sometimes card designs are floating around in my head for a long time and sometimes, I find leftovers from other cards and then magic happens.

Here's today's magic:

and the inside:

I couldn't have done it without inspiration from the As You See It Challenge!

The pocket was the start of this design. It was an extra from a different card I was creating. I hated to not use it, so I looked around for what to do with it and I had the banner piece (once I cut the banner part), The As You See It Sketch was in my mind all day, but until that moment, I didn't know how I should use it.

At first, the pocket was blank and I wanted to figure out what to add to it. After some searching, I found the Badge Punch worked, but then I needed a balloon. A plain balloon was too boring, so I used the balloon from Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I also found the inside sayings at that point and HAD to decorate the inside. What I ended up with is a masculine, yet fun card!

Happy Stamping!

  1. What a fun, masculine card, Sara! The pocket was a great choice for the square on the sketch and I love that you are making a home for unused elements from previous cards! Thanks for joining us again at As You See It Challenges!

  2. What a cool masculine card. I really like the little tab at the side of the pocket - cute detail! The layering looks good too. So glad that we could give you inspiration! Thanks for joining us at As You See It.
