Inky Friends Inking Autumn Blog Hop Recap

Well, how was the blog hop? I was impressed by the variety of projects from each and every set! My wish list grew!

As for my projects, today, I will share the supplies I used as well as templates. First up, the wedding card.

This card was created by using ink and aquapainters on watercolor paper. The background was a little bit of white embossing paste spread inside the Pattern Party mask. The funny thing about this card, is that my Stamping Celebrations group made it in August, My 10th wedding anniversary was the next week and my sister gave it back to us as our anniversary card! Make a card, send a card in action!

My second card is also a wedding card, but with more a fall theme. It could also be an anniversary card.

So make this card, I used this template. Dotted lines are scored. Lines are cuts. The base is 5 1/2 by 11".

I used markers to color the cornucopia of harvest goods in the trunk. I made the liscense plate yellow in homage to the yellow plates of Wisconsin in my youth.

My next card involved a technique called Paper Piecing. That means that you stamp the image on Designer Series paper and cut it out so that it fills in the shape, but also have the details of the stamp on it.

I used the Wood Textures paper for the car and the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper for the presents and balloons. I also added some fun to the inside.

I used a Basic Black Marker to draw the balloon strings. Just for fun.

Time for my final card:

I cut out the center space by using my Stampin' Paper Trimmer.  Here is the front template.

For the green layer, the cutting creates the same inside, but the margin is 1/2" and the panel starts smaller.

For the accordion fold in the inside, I cut a 6 1/4 by 5" Whisper White piece and scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I placed it along the right edge and added my car panel, so that it fit in the center of my hole. It's easier than it looks.

Here are the supplies I used:

I hope you enjoyed my projects. Be ready next month when we feature Holiday projects from the Holiday catalog!

Happy Stamping!

Sara
