I like to make my gift wrapping easy. I hate wrapping gifts. Everyone in my life would get gifts Bubba-style (a plastic or kraft bag directly from the store), if I didn't know how important the packaging is. As a kid, looking at the paper, and the bows, and the ornaments attached to the gifts, helped ease my excitement waiting for those darn dishes to be done so we could dive in. So, today, I have some repurposed items and some quick and easy ways to spruce them up.
First up, a gift box:
I save the box from the Soft Sayings Card kit, thinking how awesome it would be to use it for a gift. It's the perfect size for a photo book. Just sayin'. I made it lovely with a homemade bow out of the Merry Music Speciality Designer Series Paper. It's pretty easy. I added a few strands of the Silver Sequins and on the bottom, I added two strips of the Snowflake die cuts. I snipped the middles so I could curve the snowflakes around. That work, never shows! For the tag, I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and a 2" strip of cardstock. I stamped in Basic Black and Pool Party for some details and texture. My final touch was adding the ribbon so that it only went around the lid. Easy off lid!
My next projects coordinate:
I had an empty tea container that I wrapped in the Merry Music Designer Series Speciality Paper, I added a little band around the middle and used the 2" Circle Punch for a layer and the Everyday Label Punch was perfect for the sentiment, "Merry Christmas from my our family to yours." My sister and I make a lot of treats to give away. I can picture this one full of peanut brittle.
On the top, I added a bow made from the Bow Builder Punch.
The little Pool Party parts are from the die cut tag topper from the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle. I use everything I can when I am creating. For that tag, I used the Die cut that comes with the framelits and then added a Whisper White piece to extend it. That way, the snowflake negative space could be seen better. Easy, quick and fun.
The other item above is a sour cream container. No, I didn't reuse one, I made my own with a piece of 6x6 paper. I added some washi tape at the top and a scalloped snowflake piece on the bottom. I also used a little Swirl and a easy tag using the Pretty Label Punch. Easy and cute. I gave these out at my last event filled with candy corn. I made a dozen in less than 2 hours, designing time included.
Well, that's what I have to show. You can now click Next to go to Shelley's Hang Your Stockings projects or you can go backwards to Betty's Santa Paws project. Either way, you won't be disappointed!
Happy Stamping!
