Panda Love

These little Pandas are the cutest stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I have not played with them enough, but I did create this Valentine, which could easily be converted back to a birthday card.

I used the striped page from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper to add a panel on the right and sealed it with the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. The panda had a birthday balloon and I used painter's tape over the balloon directly on the stamp and then removed the inky tape before stamping on my card so that the balloon didn't stamp. The inside uses a sentiment from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set.

Sale-a-bration ends March 31st, so if you want this set, order today!

Happy Birthday in Full Color

I just love the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper--every singe pattern. They are eclectic and cheerful. I love mix and matching the patterns. I couldn't decide what to combine this time, so I went all out---combining them all. I am making every effort to use up all my Designer Series Papers before they retire and this works great for the all the scraps I had:

Here's another version:

I used the Adhesive Sheets to adhere the strips to a base of Whisper White. I added some punched balloons, a sentiment, and some adhesive sequins. A very fun and easy card.

I also made a video with some tips about how I made the banner and the pattern.

My Inky Friends Design Challenge #4: Spring Colors

My Inky Friends and I have gathered to participate in a another design challenge. This time, it's a color challenge full of Spring colors.  I even used pink.

The Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper that was recently introduced as a Sale-a-bration item was a perfect design to color with my Stampin' Blends. I used the Pink Pirouette Dark and Light on the flowers and my Old Olive light on the leaves, which turns into Pear Pizzazz. The background was sponged in Marina Mist, which magically doesn't stick to the area colored by Blends, except where I didn't color the light Pink Pirouette carefully.  I also used my Pool Party Blends on the Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon to create a ribbon color I liked. I used a few mini glue dots on to fold some ruffles and added some of my favorite embellishments--the Glimmer Dots.

Hat's Off to St. Patrick's Day

Some holidays deserve fun cards!

I used my Stampin' Up! Trimmer  with a side folded card base. I cut at at angle from the top to 4 inches down at an angle. Then, I used my paper snips to cut the top of the hat band. I flipped and repeated. The buckle is from the Bottles and Bubbles Framelit Dies. I slipped a 3/8" strip of Basic Black for the band.  I used the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched with the Duet Banner Punch. Cut and fun.

Lovely Lavender

Some sets are just meant to be used as the designer first envisioned. This is one of them.

The Lots of Lavender set is a beautiful way to make cards that are lovely and easy. The stamp set includes an outline of lavender that can be colored or stamped with a watercolor stamp. Perfect those folks who like color, but had coloring. For the stems and leaves, I placed all three photopolymer stamps on the same block, which made the stamping even easier. I cut the doilies into fourths, so that I could make more cards and just have a peek of daintiness. I also added a layer of Perfect Plum Cardstock that was embossed with the Ruffled Dynamic Embossing Folder.

I made this a sympathy card with the Flourishing Phrases sentiment, but the card could be used for many occasions.

Sweet Flowers

Sweet Sugarplum is a very rosey shade of purple and perfect spring color. But, beware, as a 2016-2018 In Color, it will be retiring soon! I decided to use it for a monotone card:

This triple time stamping card was very popular as it was 1) EASY and 2) BEAUTIFUL, but looks challenging. The trick is inking the stamp up well and then stamping all three layers at the same time. Then, you add the mats so that the gaps are covered.

The Heartfelt Blooms set is only available until March 31st, so gather up a $50 order and pick this set for FREE!

My Inky Friends Hidden Gems Blog Hop

Welcome to the Lily Ink Pad stop of the My Inky Friends Hidden Gems Blog Hop where we are featuring stamp sets we think are "hidden gems" from the Annual Catalog. I've chosen projects using Five For All Stamp Set.  But, first, did you come from Shelley's projects featuring Sprinkles of Life? I love that set and am so glad Stampin' Up! kept it around an extra year! If you are hopping backwards, you came from Cindy's Birthday Blossoms blog post. Birthdays all around!

My first project features the sentiment as a focal point.

"Happy Birthday to an equally overqualified and underpaid coworker....We have a lot in common." A funny card for a fun coworker! The bonus is this card is a quick and easy! Perfect for busy winter days! I used the Picture Perfect Designer Series paper for a background and added some bling in the form of Tutti Frutti Sequins and Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper. I also used the Ticket Tear Punch to create my own paper ribbon.

Next up, is a card that uses the Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes, which are a FREE Sale-a-bration item:

The card front says, "Is this the birthday when you start asking Life's Big Questions?"... and the inside says, "like WHY did I walk into this room?" To be cheeky, I used the question mark from the Letters for You Photopolymer Stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, and Island Indigo.

My final card uses a sentiment from the Five for all set for the inside saying of the card. The front is other stamps!

I used the sneakers from Epic Celebrations as my focal point and added some fun with the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper punched out with the Starburst Punch. I added some Basics Pack 3 Washi tape and some background stamping fun. The inside matches along with the sentiment: Happy Birthday to a Funny, Beautiful, and Smart person. I love this combination!

Well, that's what I have for you! I hope you enjoy my stop and likewise enjoy the rest of the hop! Click Next to visit Cindy's Birthday Blossoms or previous to visit Shelley's Sprinkles of Life!
