Ceramic Technique Rocks

A few weeks ago, I was blog hopping and found a blog post by Australian Demonstrator Lou Kitzelman at With a Bow on Top. I was amazed at how she used the Floral Embossing Folder to create a "Ceramic" look. She says, it's an old technique, but I've never seen it. So... I had to try it. I created the card I featured in my previous post. I didn't just create that one card, though. I experimented and created these:

The Woodland Embossing Folder was fun to work with. I used a variety of my Stampin' Blends to create the birch trees- Soft Suede,  Smokey Slate, Soft Sea Foam, and Crumb Cake.

Here's how I did this card:

Here are my cards close-up.

I used the Nature's Poem Suite to complete my card.

See how green? those trees look? Well, They really don't, but I did use Soft Sea Foam Blends and I love how it makes them look more birchy!

I hope you enjoy these!
